L' Etre et La Nuance...

... was conceived as an exhibition, in one of those friendly lunches at the restaurant "Chez Gerard" in Petion Ville, Haïti, talking with the owner Louison Balthasar and her sister Michel Alfred who became the curator of it.

The photos where already taken in the month of February, same year (2000), and I was looking for a non devoted to art space to exhibit them.

It took me about a month to work on the negatives and give the appropriate contrasts, then the computer-generated files, on a CD, flied to Italy to be printed and mounted on aluminum where my father was there making sure that the job was done properly. When the photos arrived, three days before the opening, they where perfect, and once set in the space of the restaurant, they where very impressive.

The size is for 6 of them 120x100cm, the 7th measures 100x100cm.
